Show Notes for 12/6/2022

Today is our one-day Advent pledge drive for the feast of St Nicholas!

He’s known for so many things, especially his love for children.

In honor of him today, please consider a gift to help us continue our work in getting the message out on the radio that children are a gift from God. We’re grateful to have be able to use these airwaves to promote a culture of life for over two decades on Sacred Heart Radio!

But he’s also known as the saint who gave in secret. And when you give to support Sacred Heart Radio, you’re making it possible for people who you may never meet in this life to hear the Good News that God loves them, that Christ died for them, and that the Holy Spirit wants to work in them to bring joy, hope, and healing to every aspect of their lives.

So please honor St. Nicholas today: give the gift of Catholic radio to people who may never learn your name! And please pray for us as we endeavor to imitate him by showing our love for all children, including the unborn. We have an incredible opportunity to share the pro-life perspective on the airwaves, and help you connect with organizations who are directly walking with mothers in crisis to give them the support they need to choose life! And all of that is possible because your generosity helps to give us this voice.

Please make a gift now to help us hit our one-day goal of $60,000! St. Nicholas, pray for us!

St. Nicholas Prayer

O good Saint Nicholas, you who are the joy of the children, put in my heart the spirit of childhood, of which the Gospel speaks, and teach me to seed happiness around me.

You, whose feast prepares us for Christmas, open my faith to the mystery of God made man.

You, good bishop and shepherd, help me to find my place in the Church and inspire the Church to be faithful to the gospel.

O good Saint Nicholas, patron of children, sailors, and the helpless, watch over those who pray to Jesus, your Lord and theirs, as well as over those who humble themselves before you.

Bring us all in reverence to the Holy Child of Bethlehem, where true joy and peace are found. Amen.
