Stephen Young

Stephen Young is a composer of liturgical and performance music who throughout a 40-year musical career has been active as a liturgical and performing artist. He is an active member of the Bellarmine Music Group at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish and the Body of Christ Community Choir in Cincinnati, OH. He is also a regular performer at the Ghost Ranch Gospel Choir in New Mexico. Stephan holds a Master in Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America as well as Bachelor degrees in Theology and Sociology from Xavier
University. After a 45 year career as a social worker he retired in 2022.
As a singer/songwriter Stephan is part of Christian music duo, The Pierson-Young Project which uses original compositions in worship, concerts and other settings. Their original compositions and recordings represent diverse styles. Their music transcends genres, creating an immersive experience of prayer, praise, and introspection that sparks personal reflection on the listener's spiritual journey.
