Fr. Brian Terry

Fr. Brian Terry, SA is the Minister General for the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, elected to that position in 2014 and again in 2019. Novice Director in Assisi for the friars since 2005, he has a license and doctorate in Sacramental Theology from the Pontificio Ateneo Sant’Anselmo.

In addition to his present work with friars in formation, he is an invited professor of Ecumenism at the Angelicum, Rome. He began his ministerial life as a Youth Minister at St. Luke’s Parish, McLean, Virginia, before entering the Order. In 2015, he celebrated his Silver Jubilee as a Friar of the Atonement. In August of 2016, he was installed as President of the Conference of Major Superiors of Men USA, for a term of two years.
