Chris Goddard

Chris Goddard joined Catholic Charities, Diocese of Covington, in May 2023 as its tenth Executive Director.
Prior to joining Catholic Charities, Chris took a 4-year sabbatical from healthcare administration to teach religion at both Seton High School and Notre Dame Academy.
He spent 30 years as a healthcare executive, 20 of them as HealthPoint Family Care’s CEO. Located in Covington, HealthPoint serves the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations: low-income, uninsured, homeless, immigrant and migrant children and families in Northern Kentucky. During his tenure, HealthPoint doubled the number of patients served. It added new mental, behavioral health, and addiction services; dental capacity grew by 7-fold; and state of the art medical and dental facilities replaced less functional and antiquated buildings.
He also has extensive experience serving rural populations in central and eastern Kentucky including most of the 14 counties served by the Covington Diocese, including worked as a hospital executive for two different healthcare systems. He first came to Kentucky in 1989 to serve as the CEO of Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital – a small, rural hospital in Irvine managed by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery before being assumed by the Mercy Healthcare System in the 1980’s.
He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University, Ohio; and two master’s degrees in Hospital and Health Care Administration andll Business Administration from Xavier University, and is a Theology master’s degree candidate at the Athenaeum of Ohio.
