Marsha Forman
Marsha Forman is the Associate Director for Social Concerns for the Catholic Conference of Ohio, the second-oldest bishop's conference in the United States. The Conference represents the Church's position before the Ohio General Assembly, various state departments, bureaus, agencies and other organizations. The Conference also provides facilitation, coordination and joint programming for diocesan groups involved in various Church ministries.
Marsha's role is to support the Church’s work to defend the dignity of human life, promote justice and peace, and exercise charity in the great state of Ohio. This is accomplished by assessing public policies in light of Catholic social and moral doctrine, engaging with Ohio legislators, convening diocesan Social Action ministries, Catholic Charities, and Respect Life offices, and empowering Catholics in Ohio to champion “the greater good which the Church offers humankind” (Apostolos Suos, Pope St. John Paul II, 1998).
