Martin Cannon

Martin Cannon serves as Senior Counsel at Thomas More Society. He is an esteemed trial lawyer with a deep commitment and decades of service to the pro-life movement. A Creighton University graduate, Martin has dedicated his career to defending life and religious freedom. He has successfully handled numerous cases, representing pro-life activists and sidewalk counselors nationwide in some of the most important recent legal battles.

He has notably led cases against Leroy Carhart's abortion clinic in Bellevue, Nebraska; defended Rev. Kenneth Griepp and Church @ The Rock; secured the late Fr. Norman Weslin‘s release after defending him against federal criminal charges; and represented the State of Iowa in a challenge against the state’s fetal heartbeat law.
