Michele Bowe

Michele Bowe is a highly accomplished diplomat and dedicated leader with a strong commitment to humanitarian causes. Currently serving as the Sovereign Order of Malta Ambassador to the State of Palestine, she represents the Order's political and humanitarian interests in the region. Michele's focus lies in advocating for the well-being of women and
children in the South and promoting economic development in the North.
Prior to her ambassadorial role, Michele served as the Minister Counsellor for the Sovereign Order of Malta, where she held the position of Chief of Diplomatic Mission to Palestine. Her diplomatic expertise and efforts played a crucial role in fostering strong relations between the Order and Palestine.
With a deep passion for charitable works, Michele has held key leadership positions within the Sovereign Order of Malta. As the Hospitaller of the Association, she oversaw the daily charitable activities of the organization's 1000 members across 23 regions. Michele actively developed new projects, represented the Order in global government meetings, and played
a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's outreach efforts.
Throughout her career, Michele has showcased her expertise on various platforms. She served as a keynote speaker at the International Strategy Seminar, addressing the government and members of the Sovereign Order of Malta on the papacy of Pope Francis and the Order's relationship with the Holy See. Michele has also co-presented on important topics such as the status of Christians in the Middle East, emphasizing the opportunities and obstacles they face.
Michele holds a Master of Arts in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, specializing in the economies of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, and the Jordan River Valley. She focused her research on villages, women, and water in these regions. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University, concentrating on Economics with a Middle
East focus.
Beyond her diplomatic and leadership roles, Michele has made significant contributions through her writings and involvement in various organizations. She authored the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency Agreement and published "Close to the Children of Bethlehem, Jerusalem Cross: and is a frequent speaker on topics related to Palestine,
the status of Christians, women and children, and humanitarian diplomacy.
Her commitment to humanitarian causes extends to her board service. She serves as President of the Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation, where she raises awareness and funds for the hospital's services to women and children. Additionally, as an international board member, Michele plays a key role in policy development and overall direction for the Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem, a critical care center serving a large population in the south of Palestine.
