Dr. Francis Beckwith

Francis Joseph Beckwith is Professor of Philosophy and Church-State Studies at Baylor University. A philosopher who publishes and teaches in the areas of religion, jurisprudence, politics, and ethics, he also serves as Associate Director of Graduate Studies in Philosophy and Affiliate Professor of Political Science.

Among his many books are "The New Mormon Challenge" and "Taking Rites Seriously: Law, Politics, and the Reasonableness of Faith." He’s the co-editor of “A Catholic Engagement with Latter-Day Saints” (2024, Ignatius Press) with Richard Sherlock.
