Mr. James McCrery II: Renewing the Classical Tradition: Architecture as Cultural Recovery

The founding principal of McCrery Architects, PLLC,  McCrery is an internationally recognized leader in classical architectural design and construction. He’s the design architect of the recently completed Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Knoxville, The Saint Mary Help of Christians Church in Aiken South Carolina, and the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel at the St. John Newman Center – University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and the architect of the Book and Gift Store in the United States Supreme Court Building. He and his firm are committed to the design of churches, civic and university buildings, and unique commissions for clients desiring rich, legible meaning incorporated into their buildings.

The 6:00 PM reception will feature a gallery-style exhibition showcasing student work rooted in the classical architectural tradition and will also feature the presentation of results from the student architecture competition for the Summit Park monument
