Observatory Director Austin Hinkel, Ph.D., will deliver the talk entitled: “Temperatures in the Universe.” This summer has been pretty darn hot. But how do those temperatures compare to the extremes found across the universe — from the cold voids of space to the blazing hearts of stars? And how can we even begin to take the temperature of things that are billions of light-years away?
