Understanding The Church’s Teaching On InVitro Fertilization

The community is invited to a dynamic presentation on Monday, April 20 at 7:00pm at St. Joseph Parish Life Center in downtown Dayton unpacking the controversial and confusing subject of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the Catholic Church’s teaching on the topic. There is much misinformation “out there” and many Catholics are participating in this endeavor to have children without all the facts. This talk will provide a compassionate explanation of IVF and educate us on the Church’s teaching, including possible alternatives to IVF for infertile couples. The presenter will be Dr. Mary Jo Klein, Adjunct Professor of Bioethics and Logic at Wittenberg University. Come and learn more on this interesting topic. Light refreshments will be provided.
