Benjamin O\’Brien

Benjamin O’Brien studied liberal arts at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College, and obtained a B. A. in Humanities and Philosophy from Redeemer University. He is also a graduate of Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, where he earned his Fire Service credentials. Ben began firefighting in 2008, and has served in various communities as a volunteer and career firefighter. He and his wife Katelyn live in Wisconsin with their four children. His book “The Proving Grounds: A Catholic on Ladder 17” (2025, Ignatius Press) explores faith and firefighting.
