“In 2004, St. Pope John Paul II blessed six monstrances to be used during the Year of the Eucharist (2005– 2006) for people to pray for an increase in vocations to ordained ministry and consecrated life.The monstrances were designated for Eucharistic adoration for vocations for each major continent around the world as a symbol of the connection between the Eucharist and priestly vocations.” The monstrances have been in over 45 US/CAN dioceses since 2004, and it is now our turn to have it.
The Serra Club of Northern Kentucky is helping to bring this monstrance to Covington and Ft Wright. It will be used for 18 hours of Adoration at the cathedral from noon-4 PM Saturday, pause for the Sunday Vigil Mass, resume at 5:30 and continue all night (officers will be present to ensure safety) and end Sunday at 7 AM.
Confession will be available from 3-4 PM Saturday.
