The Ancient Office of Tenebrae (Latin for “darkness”) is a special holy week liturgy featuring Passiontide music spanning medieval through twentieth century chant and polyphony including Gregorio Allegri’s sublime setting of Psalm 51, Miserere sung by the Cathedral Basilica’s choir.
