St. Ives Day Dinner for Lawyers, Dayton

The Dayton Catholic Lawyers Guild’s inaugural St. Ives Day Dinner will feature keynote speaker Frank DeVito, Counsel for the Napa Legal Institute, on “St. Thomas More: Excellence and the Ethical Lawyer.”

This address will analyze the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct through the life and work of famed English lawyer and statesman St. Thomas More (1478-1535). In particular, More’s virtuous legal practice and famous “Prayer for Lawyers,” which exemplify what it means to practice by several of the Rules. By emulating More, attorneys will learn to not merely meet their ethical duties but embrace them.
