Messaien Concert at Music Hall

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players present Olivier Messaien’s “Quartet for the End of Time,” along with other pieces by Bozza and Brahms. One of the premier composers of twentieth century, Messaien wrote many liturgical and concert pieces, but this is one of his most famous — written while he was in a prisoner of war camp in World War II to feature the only instruments in the camp, it’s based on the apocalyptic books of the Bible.
