Mass in Memory Fr. Clarence Rivers

Wilton, Cardinal Gregory will celebrate Mass at Cincinnati’s cathedral on the the Feast of Christ the King to end UD’s symposium on the 40th anniversary of “What We Have Seen and Heard,” the letter by the America’s black bishops. It will also mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Fr. Clarence Rivers, the first African American priest ordained for Cincinnati and an accomplished liturgical composer whose work is used in parishes around the country.
