First Friday Sacred Heart Procession, Sedamsville

The Serenelli Project is a 501(c)3, non-profit Catholic apostolate dedicated to creating a monastic village — a “community of atonement” — for those re-entering society from prison, no matter the crime.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary will be enthroned in all Serenelli Properties on June 17th, 2023. In preparation, the Serenelli community is observing the First Friday devotion for nine consecutive months until that day, and invites all to join them.
The two requirements for the First Friday devotion are to receive Holy Communion on the first Friday of the month for nine consecutive months and to have the intention to make reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the ingratitude and indifference of men. We encourage you to find a Mass on these First Fridays, and the sacrament of confession prior to it. (St. Peter in Chains Cathedral Basilica has a 5:15pm daily Mass.) The second requirement is fulfilled more than sufficiently by attending our procession. We will meet in front of the old, closed Our Lady of Perpetual Help church and process to the Serenelli house praying the rosary. There we will consecrate ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and then process back to the church offering up more prayers to Our Lord.
Procession begins at 6:15 PM.
