Maurice Durufle’s famed Requiem will be paired with a world premiere (Julia Adolphe’s “Crown of Hummingbirds”) at this rare fall performance by the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus. Influenced by Gregorian chant and chant revival from Solesmes, France, as well as Debussey and Ravel, this twentieth-century Catholic Requiem composed by a long-time cathedral organist is a favorite of singers worldwide, and a chance for the May Festival and organist Michael Unger, organ to take advantage of the church’s famous Richard, Fowkes & Co. organ.
Two performances: 2 PM and 5 PM
Tickets: $10
