Annual Cincinnati Kirchweih Mass, Over-the-Rhine

The Donauschwaben Society sponsors this annual Mass, which means “church blessing,” an Old-World tradition still widely celebrated in Southern Bavaria and Austria, at Old St. Mary’s, the only parish in our region with a weekly German Mass.  A rosemary bush will be blessed as part of the tradition. All are encouraged to wear German attire.
