The Thomas More Society of Greater Cincinnati invites all to its annual “Red Mass” for lawyers, judges, and all in the legal profession. A tradition in Europe since the 1200s and named for the red robes traditionally worn there by judges, the Red Mass is celebrated each fall to invoke God’s blessings on those responsible for the administration of justice, public officials, and members of the legal community in general. Each year, the location alternates between Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, with this year’s celebration to be held at beautiful St. Xavier in downtown Cincinnati. Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr will celebrate.
A reception with heavy hors d’oevres will follow. At it, the St. Thomas More Award will be presented to The Hon. Timothy S. Hogan.
